My sis has a new website - Planet Cooties!!!

There are many wholesale vintage clothing websites but seldom can you find a 'handpicked' site.
What that means is that YOU, the buyer, gets to pick each piece you will get. Most sites will allow you to pick the era or type of piece you want but they will then pick the pieces for you.

On Planet Cooties there are photos of each piece of clothing. Only requirement is you need to buy 10 pieces minimum. But with wholesale prices and great clothing it will be easy!!

Lime Green

I'm always honored to be chosen as a featured seller in Etsy's treasuries. And this beautiful green treasury is no exception! Green is my favorite color and this shade evokes such a peaceful and calm feeling for me. Just wanted to share.

Fun with photos!

Do you think your photos are dull and boring? Or are you just maybe tired of the same photo finish? Liven things up with any photo altering program. I use Picasa which is through Google. It is free and super easy to use. If you are on a tight budget and want to give a great gift your friend will remember you can take a favorite photo of theirs and once it's uploaded onto your computer alter it and then make a collage of the altered images!! Take a look at what I've altered here! The first is the original photo and the next two are my altered versions!

1960's Flapper Style Frock

Fun and flirty is this versatile 1960's sleeveless, drop waist, pleated skirt frock.

I think what I like best is the iridescent bronze color that changes shades as you shimmy and shake!!

~To complete the look I used two antique glass seed bead necklaces in gold and red
(Here is a red one for sale on etsy - they are not too difficult to find at a reasonable price)
~Red shoes from and inexpensive mall store (scored this pair for about $20.00)!!

~Jacket is an ivory and gold metallic vintage piece I picked up at a flea market for $10.00
~Same pair of shoes from cheap mall store
~Red scarf from local estate for free cause they were throwing out everything that didn't sell and I am no where near above shuffling through good trash!!!

Darling Blue Vintage Lace Dress - Three Different Looks

Here's a 1950's lacy light blue strapless party dress shown with three different looks. Who said a formal vintage dress has to be worn for only one special occasion. With these looks you can wear the same dress to prom, a wedding and a country barn dance!

Pair with a pair of cowboy boots (bought from the local Goodwill), denim vest and string of vintage pearls!

Dress up with with light pink sling back wedges from Forever 21, vintage three quarter sleeves sequin bolero and vintage string of pearls.

And for the last look we have a super sweet dark pink vintage lace crop top with the same pink sling back heels and vintage string pearls.

Jewel Tone Picks!

Don't know about you but I'm a sucker for jewel tones. Those bright vibrant flashy colors that yell 'POWER'!! Most of us tend to do the matchy-matchy thing when we dress. We wear a red dress with black shoes and our earrings, bracelet, necklace, purse and sweater are either red or black or a combo of those two colors. Or perhaps we through a little silver, gold or bronze in. I think it would be fun to wear all jewel tones but each part of the outfit be a different color or a mix of the brights. Here are some ideas!
